Climate Change is a Human Health Crisis

I’m sure most (if not all) of us have grown increasingly aware of the issue of climate change especially as of recent, but did you know that the climate crisis is also a human health crisis?? The Global Medicine Initiative wants to bring awareness to the VAST number of health-related issues caused by climate change—one of which is the increase in risk of infectious and vector-borne diseases (e.g. malaria) worldwide by several HUNDRED MILLION people. Those in poorer nations may not have an adequate health care infrastructure to deal with these issues, and increasing health problems only decrease the accessibility of proper health care, vaccines, and medications.
