Information Session: Global Studies in Pharmacy Certification Program


Interested in learning to care for diverse and vulnerable populations using a global health lens in Pharmacy? An estimated 2 billion people in developing countries lack access to essential medicines, which is a global health high priority concern according to the WHO.


GMI hosted an information session regarding the Certificate in Global Studies in Pharmacy Program on February 9th. This event featured Professor Tom Brown who spoke about the certification program, including why it was initiated, how to enroll, and the requirements. There was also a speaker from OEE, Karen Cameron, who discussed the types of APPE rotations which can fulfill the requirements of this program. After the presentation by the speakers, students engaged in a Q&A period.
