Proactive Countries During COVID-19

As Ontario imposes another lockdown after a record number of cases, Global Medicine Initiative would like to take this opportunity to highlight countries that were proactive in stopping the spread of COVID-19.

Currently, 5 countries that were very successful in stopping the spread of COVID-19 include Argentina, Senegal, Vietnam, Greece and Saudi Arabia. These countries were very quick to act after WHO declared COVID-19 a public health emergency. These countries were very wise to instate early lockdowns, travel restrictions, contact tracing and wide spread testing for COVID-19. The quick response of these countries significantly stopped the spread of the disease which saved numerous lives and allowed them to end their lockdowns early.

Let’s make sure we are mindful citizens and that we follow the instructions of the government to ensure the safety of our community and loved ones.
